Wetaskiwin RCMP is investigating an incident in which a firearm “was discharged with intent” in a rural area near Millet.

Wetaskiwin RCMP is investigating an incident in which a firearm “was discharged with intent” in a rural area near Millet.

At about 9 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report of two suspicious vehicles in Millet.

The first vehicle is described as a 2003, white Ford F350 – this vehicle has since been recovered and was determined to have been stolen. The second suspect vehicle is described as a black Ford F350, with a loud steel-tip after-market exhaust and chrome rear door handles – this vehicle remains outstanding.

The driver of the white F350 was described as a Caucasian female, between 20 and 30 years old, with curly shoulder-length light blonde hair. The driver of the black F350 was described as a skinny, Caucasian male, with short dark hair (balding), a scruffy beard and was average in height.

Police say the male suspect shot at a witness who had attempted to stop the suspect vehicles, this caused damage to the victim’s vehicle however they were not injured. A police pursuit was initiated by ultimately terminated.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in Millet, or the surrounding rural areas of Mameo Beach, Mulhurst Bay, Falun and Pipestone, is asked to contact the Wetaskiwin RCMP at 780-312-7267.
