Wildrose leader Brian Jean to check political pulse of Albertans during tour

The leader of Alberta’s Wildrose Opposition is touring the province to wave the party flag and listen to voters.

EDMONTON — The leader of Alberta’s Wildrose Opposition is touring the province to wave the party flag and listen to voters.

Brian Jean says he wants feedback on everything from the economy to health care.

He says the province is in economic turmoil that is being aggravated by the policies of the new NDP government.

This week, the tour is to include stops in the central Alberta communities of Rimbey, Sundre, Rocky Mountain House, Sylvan Lake, Stettler, Olds, Three Hills and Drayton Valley.

The NDP government is to table its first budget this fall.

Last week the Finance Department announced the start of its public pre-budget consultation that is to run until Sept. 14.
