Wind chill makes for cold day in Red Deer

Cold temperatures continue Friday

With a wind chill of -22 C and periods of snow, Red Deerians need to bundle up today.

Environment Canada forecasts winds of up to 15 km/h and a wind chill of -22 C Thursday morning. The wind chill will ease to -15 C in the afternoon.

About two cm of snow is expected to fall during the day, with another two cm Thursday night.

The temperature will reach a high of -10 C during the day, with a low of -16 at night.

On Friday there is 30 per cent chance of flurries during the day, with a wind chill near -20 C. The temperature will reach a high of -11 C and a low of -18 C.
