A 22-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the death of a teenage pedestrian at O’Chiese First Nation.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP said a 17-year-old girl died after she was struck by a vehicle on Jan. 25.

The name of the victim was not released since she was a youth.

Shania Destiny Lynn Whitehorse has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

Whitehorse is scheduled to appear in Rocky Mountain House provincial court March 4.
