A woman in Canmore climbing accident was tragically pronounced dead, police say.
On June 24, at approximately 12:43 p.m. Canmore RCMP and Emergency Services arrived in the Grassi Lakes rock climbing area in response to a 911 call of a climber who had fallen approximately 35 meters.
Emergency crews located a female on scene who was dead.
Investigation continues as to the cause of the fall.
The name of the deceased will not be released pending Next of Kin notification.
