Worker ordered to repay money stolen from workplace

A former employee of the Lacombe County Learning Centre has been sentenced to 24 months probation and ordered to pay back the money she stole from her workplace.

A former employee of the Lacombe County Learning Centre has been sentenced to 24 months probation and ordered to pay back the money she stole from her workplace.

Claudine Fleury, 43, pleaded guilty in Red Deer provincial court on Sept. 13 to stealing just over $400 from the petty cash and writing three cheques worth just under $2,500 to herself.

Sentence was pronounced on Nov. 27, including an order that Fleury repay a total $2,855.60 to her former employer.
