World of Choices career forum coming up

Westerner Park on March 15

Central Alberta students will gather for the fourth annual World of Choices career forum at Westerner Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 15.

About 200 Grade 10 to 12 students will have the opportunity to speak with 35 volunteer career mentors from different professions to help them prepare to choose a career path.

Students from Lacombe, Alix, Ponoka, Delburne, Penhold, and Red Deer will be exposed to a variety of career possibilities and can learn about the necessary education and qualifications.

The forum’s theme The Fourth Industrial Revolution will help students look at how advances in technology may affect them and how they can prepare for the changing world of work.

Pentathlon Olympian Joshua Riker-Fox will be the keynote speaker.

World of Choices is presented by Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta.
