Red Deer RCMP arrest Edmonton man with stolen truck

Suspect also had a licence plate stolen from Red Deer.

Red Deer RCMP arrested an Edmonton man Wednesday afternoon who stole a truck from the capital city earlier that day.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m., RCMP located a suspicious truck in Riverside Meadows parked on 53rd Avenue.

The suspect in possession of the truck also had a stolen licence plate that was stolen out of Red Deer.

Police took the 28-year-old man into custody without incident and he was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of property under $5,000.

He was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court this morning.
