YMCA in north Red Deer closed due to COVID-19

YMCA in Red Deer is closed due to the novel coronavirus.

Effective Sunday the Northside Community Centre in north Red Deer is closed to the public, and all rentals and recreation relation programs and services are cancelled until further notice.

The YMCA closure is also in effect in other Alberta communities such as Edmonton and Wood Buffalo.

All participants and users are encouraged to visit the website for up-to-date information: northernalberta.ymca.ca.

“Please know that these actions come after careful consideration and in partnership with municipal and community partners,” the agency said in a statement Sunday. “As always, the YMCA of Northern Alberta looks to credible experts such as Alberta Health Services, Health Canada and the World Health Organization as the source for factual information.”
