An aboriginal youth missing for almost a week has Red Deer RCMP asking for the public’s assistance.

An aboriginal youth missing for almost a week has Red Deer RCMP asking for the public’s assistance.

Sommer Currie, 16, was last seen in the Deer Park area of Red Deer on Nov. 16 at 9:50 p.m. The aboriginal female was last seen wearing a dark sweater, dark pants, red and back running shoes and had a black backpack in her possession.

Police describe Currie as 1.52 metres (five foot two inches tall) and weighs 77 kg (170 pounds). She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Red Deer City RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Currie. If anyone has any information on her whereabouts, call the city RCMP at 403-343-5575.
