Big Brothers Big Sisters and Youth HQ have launched a six-week campaign ahead of the 2022 BIG Pursuit.

The BIG pursuit is a city-wide adventure race where teams or individuals explore Red Deer and parts of Central Alberta, solving various clues and participating in challenges.

Individuals or a team can participate by simply collecting pledges over the next six weeks, and then join in on May 1, BIG Pursuit Day to hunt for the Golden Keys located somewhere in Red Deer. The more funds raised the more clues you get.

The fundraising is one of the biggest of the year for the organizations and goes towards helping the more than 60 children in Red Deer looking for a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor.

“Fundraising has been challenging for the past few years. Despite those challenges the agency has been able to adapt and ensure kids continue to be connected to caring mentors,” said John Johnston, Community Engagement Manager, Youth HQ.

“A special thanks to our friends at Servus Credit Union for their continued support and belief in our efforts to support children and families throughout Red Deer and Central Alberta.”
