City RCMP fired shots at a vehicle when the driver took a run at them while they were attempting to arrest a man early this morning.

An early morning fire Thursday in an Anders on the Lake home caused an estimated $100,000 damage.

Fire bans have been put in place for the counties of Red Deer, Lacombe, Ponoka, Stettler and Kneehill.
