An elderly woman was sexually assaulted and robbed in a wooded area west of the Save On Food Store in north Red Deer on Wednesday morning.

A Red Deer man charged with murder in the death of an 18-month-old baby last October has elected to go to trial.

RCMP believe an accident caused the death of a Stettler woman whose body was found in her Main Street apartment early Monday morning.
