ZELINKA Ina Sanderson It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ina Zelinka (Kirkhope) July 14, 2009 at the Lacombe Hospital. Born August 22, 1933 in Porthmadog, Wales, Ina grew up in the Kirkhope family bakery before emigrating to Canada when she was 19, settling near Blackfalds, Alberta. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Tom (Shelly) and Lorne (Jo-Anne), grandsons Spencer and Travis of Blackfalds, Alberta, sister Irene Owen of Bodedern, Wales, brother Thomas Kirkhope of Pwhelli, Wales, James Zelinka of Lacombe, AB, Vic Sedgely of Wolverhampton, UK and numerous nieces and nephews of Wales and Great Britain as well as many friends. Ina was predeceased by her brother Alec Kirkhope. Well known for her baking, Ina worked at the Lacombe Co-op for several years. She loved spending time with her family, was an avid reader and took great interest in the family farm. A celebration of Ina’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A Lacombe Alberta. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lacombe Palliative Care Centre at the Lacombe Hospital, Box 5576, Lacombe Alberta, T4L 1X2.
