November 16, 2006

VANDERSCHEE Abram C. VanderSchee Sept. 22, 1930 - Nov. 13, 2006 Our loving husband, father and Opa went to be with his Lord and Saviour. Bram was a man of faith and looked forward to his journey and life in heaven. We rejoice that he is there, but we grieve his absence from our lives. Bram’s passion and love was for his family. He adored Eveline, his wife of 45 years, which was demonstrated by their friendship and devotion to each other. Bram came to Canada from the Netherlands in 1959 with the dream of starting his own farm. In 1961 he married Eveline and started up his own hog farm west of Blackfalds. Bram and Eveline raised 5 children while working hard to build a successful farm. Bram was a very principaled man who lived what he believed and therefore was involved with various organizations. Bram had a heart attack in 1978 where he had a glimpse of what awaited him in heaven. He continued to struggle with various physical ailments, but rarely complained. The family is appreciative of the wonderful support of his friends throughout the years, along with all the excellent medical attention given to him by numerous medical professionals. Bram will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Eveline, his children: Lennard and Colleen VanderSchee (Cassidy, Tashelle, Adam, Ryleigh and Spencer), Harold and Denise VanderSchee (Tegan and Braden), Veronica and Nick DenOudsten (Nahani, Aaron, Kescia, and Logan), Wendy and Blake Hiebert (Laine), Ken VanderSchee. He is also survived by sisters Frieda and Ype Schaafsma, Tet and Henk Beens, Greet and Henk Kuill, and sister-in-law Annie VanderSchee, all of the Netherlands. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Nov. 17, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Red Deer First Christian Reformed Church, 16 McVicar Street, Red Deer, Alberta.
