Ada OPHEIM

OPHEIM Ada Mae (nee Hackett) passed away peacefully at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on July 24, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Ada was born on September 12, 1914 in Asquith, Saskatchewan. She married Ben Opheim in 1933 and they raised their two sons in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After running a successful green house business in Saskatoon Ada and Ben retired to Vernon BC where they enjoyed many years. Ada moved to Lacombe in 2001 to be closer to her family. Predeceased by her daughter Sylvia, husband Ben, son Ron and special friend Fred Bork, she is survived by her son Terry (Ginny) of Pincher Creek, her grandsons Bob(Wendy) Opheim of Blackfalds, Brian (Joan) Opheim of Saskatoon, Kirk Opheim of Red Deer, her granddaughters Kim (Kevin Tober) Opheim of Calgary and Tracy (Jade) Verishine of Langham, Saskatchewan, her great grandchildren Dawn, Kelly, Ben, Sara, Shelby, Austin, and Kennedy. The family would like to express their thanks to Darlene Sargeant for being such a dear friend to Ada and for all the care & love she gave to her. Ada will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends. Funeral services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel Lacombe on Wednesday July 27, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium.
