GRAMLICH Agatha Caroline of Bashaw, Alberta passed away Easter morning, April 12, 2009 at the Lacombe Hospital Palliative Care Centre. She was born on February 11, 1920 on the family farm near Primate, Saskatchewan, the sixth of eleven children, to Albert and Katherine Moser. Aggie married Wendlin Gramlich on April 22, 1941. They farmed near Major, Saskatchewan and in 1950 moved to the farm they purchased in the Lake Bend District near Mirror, Alberta. She was predeceased by her loving husband Wendlin in 1986 and in 1988 moved to the town of Bashaw residing there until her passing. Aggie was also predeceased by infant daughter Cecile in 1948, infant grandson Brant in 1976, infant great-granddaughter Kaylin in 2003, daughter-in-law Lori in 1988 and siblings, George, Alex, Mary, Brigetta, Veronica and Amelia. Left to cherish her memory are her children: son Ray of Calgary, daughter Dianne (Clarence) Schneider of Red Deer, son Dennis (Cathy) of Red Deer and son Ron (Donna) of Bashaw. Aggie leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren: Brett (Melissa), Chad, Spencer (Barb), Janet (Lonny), Lisa (Travis), Carolyn (Mike), Jason (Amanda), Michael (Tracy), Evan, Shane, Ryan and Kayla; 12 precious great-grandchildren: Kade, Reed, Emma, India, Logan, Brooklyn, Chantelle, Nathan, Ethan, Kennedy, Avery and Dawson. Aggie is also survived by sisters Kay (Bob), Anne and Barb and her brother Tony (Josephine); as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of wonderful friends. Aggie was a gentle, caring mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She loved a good game of cards or visiting with friends to round out an evening. Funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Bashaw Alberta on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Bashaw Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations in her memory may be forwarded to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2 or to a charity of one's choice.
