Al LABRECQUE

LABRECQUE Al Mr. Al Labrecque of Camrose, formerly of Red Deer, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the age of 82 years. Al was predeceased by his loving wife Hilda in 1989. They are now together again. Left to cherish his memory are his children Mark (Barbara) of Kingston, Ont., Guy (Jeannine) of Camrose, Barry (Jennifer) of Calgary and Paul (Michelle) of Calgary; twelve grandchildren, Phillip, Elizabeth, Nathan, Sarah, Andrea, Deanne, Joshua, Rachael, Ryan, Graham, Maximilian, Alexandra; numerous relatives and friends. Al was a career firefighter with the RCAF. With this, he had the opportunity to serve in Belgium, a time the family cherished always. They also lived in Cold Lake and Penhold before retiring to Red Deer. After his retirement he worked with the RCMP in Red Deer as a guard and at the Red Deer area nursing homes as a barber. Al was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 35 before moving to Camrose in 2003. Prayer Services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 7:30 pm. from the Solid Rock Lutheran Church, (4501-52 Avenue, Camrose, Alberta). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 1:00 pm. from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (5508-48A Avenue Red Deer, Alberta). Interment will follow in the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance.
