Al NEARY

NEARY, Al Suddenly at Calgary Airport, on October 7, 2004 Al left this world with his sons close by. Al was born in Liverpool England and came to Canada at age four and lived in the Toronto area for a number of years, then came out west to Yellowknife, Edmonton, Kelowna and then Red Deer in 1993. Left to mourn are sons, Graham (18 years) and Russell (14 years), mother of their sons Deb, mother of Al, Brenda Chesney of Summerland, B.C., brothers; Ken of Pennsylvania, USA (Marietta), Roy of Bancroft, Ontario (Linda), Stu and Barry of Yellowknife, NWT (Darlene), and sister Brenda of Maxwell, Ontario (Ron), many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Also to mourn are members of Local 488 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union located in Edmonton. Al was predeceased by his father John in 1993. Great loves in life for Al was for his family; work, boating, skiing in the BC Mountains and especially watching his sons play hockey and lacrosse. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Al's life at a Memorial Service at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta (one block north of 67th Street on Taylor Drive) on Thursday, October 14th, 2004 at 5:00p.m. with the Reverend Fran Hare officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Al can be sent to Local 488 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for the Apprenticeship Mentoring Program at Pipe Trades Building, 16214 - 118 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5V 1M6.
