Alan BOICE

BOICE Alan "Al" Boice passed away in Canmore, Alberta, at the age of 46 years, beloved fiancé of Joan Quigley of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory his children, Brad Boice of Medicine Hat and Holly Boice of Alex, Alberta; Joan's children, Stephanie of Medicine Hat and Marlee of Red Deer; one brother Brian Boice of Kamloops; two sisters, Linda (Dave) Garstad of Big Valley, Alberta and Betty (Del Selin) Boice of Vernon, B.C. as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Olive and Franklin "Jigs" Boice. Al was born on January 1, 1961 in Lacombe, Alberta where he attended school. In the early '90's he moved to Medicine Hat. Throughout his life he worked in many aspects of the oil field such as field construction, road construction and rigs in the Arctic, currently he was employed with Flint Energy Services. In his spare time he was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying fishing and camping. Al was an avid skier and his dream was to someday be dropped from a helicopter and enjoy extreme skiing. He also had a passion for big dogs, fast cars and Joan. The last seven years of his life spent with Joan were his happiest. The memorial service will be held in the Pattison Chapel (Medicine Hat) on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Blaine Schaufele officiating.
