CRAIGIE, Alan


Alan Craigie died unexpectedly in November in Costa Rica, aged 59. Alan went to school in Red Deer, and university in Calgary. His diverse career included work on the Space Shuttle's "Canadarm," and designing undersea oil drilling equipment. He moved back to his native Scotland in the early 2000's, and at the time of his death lived in the Highlands, where he was working to master his ocean-going boat. Survived by sons Rob and Mike Grass of Houston Texas, siblings Sheila and Susan of Vancouver and Iain of Rochester New York, and four grandchildren.
