ALBERS Mrs. Nadea Albers of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Nadea was born on November 23, 1934, on the family homestead on the northern banks of the mighty Peace River in the Clayhurst, B.C. district. Her junior schooling took place in the local one-room schoolhouse, and she later received her high school education in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Nadea continued her education by obtaining her nursing training at the Edmonton General Hospital in Edmonton, and upon graduating in 1956; she pursued her nursing career at many locations in Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. Nadea was united in marriage to Don Albers in Dawson Creek, B.C. on May 12, 1962. Nadea and Don later settled in Rimbey where together they raised five children. Nadea worked at the Three-way Hospital and later the Rimbey General Hospital for many years until her retirement. Nadea encountered many difficult health problems over the years, but one of the greatest highlights in her life was traveling to the Ukraine. Nadea will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Don; her two sons, Tim (Lisa) Albers of Brooks and their two sons, Tory and Austin; and John Albers also of Brooks; as well as three daughters, Sandra (Dale) Zak of Red Deer and their two sons, Joel and Steven; Glenda Albers of Kelowna, B.C.; and Brenda Albers of Edmonton. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother, Metro Hryniuk of Edmonton; her sister, Mary Jensen of Fort St. John, B.C.; in addition to several nieces and nephews. Nadea was predeceased by her parents; and one brother, Michael. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Rimbey on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Father Victor Eze, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey.
