MILLER Albert "Ian" 1927 - 2008 On December 17, 2008, Ian Miller, long time resident of Michener Centre in Red Deer, Alberta, passed away suddenly at the age of 81 years. Born on January 26, 1927, Ian was loved by his family and many Red Deer friends, who knew him as a kind, gentle, soul always ready with a smile, handshake, helping hand, and a cup of coffee. Ian is survived by three nieces, Gail De Haan and her husband Rob of Edmonton, Denise Caron Rollins and her husband Alan of Victoria, and Dawn (Joby) of Victoria. Ian was predeceased by his father, Robert Wishert (Bob), his brother, Robert George (Bert), and his mother, Annie Ballantine nee Campbell. Ian's family would like to acknowledge and thank all the wonderful people at Michener Centre for the care and compassion that Ian received throughout the years. A funeral service will be held at Roland Michener Recreation Centre, "Theatre Room", 38A Avenue & 51A Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, December 22 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Edmonton at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
