HARRIS Albertha (Bertha) Matilda Harris formerly of Blackfalds and Morningside passed away at the Lacombe Extended Care Facility on November 1, 2004 at the age of 87 years. Born to Sid and Annie Grey at Calendula, Alberta and raised near Oyen, Alberta, she married Donald (Bud) Harris and began farming at Morningside in 1940. She moved to Ponoka, then to Blackfalds in 1974 where she was blessed with many friends. Bertha is survived by her daughters, Shirley Langmaid, Donna (Jim) Turney; and son, Doug (Phyllis) Harris; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by Bud, her sister Gwen Campbell, step brother Jim Grey and son-in-law Don Langmaid in 1998. Memorial services will be held at the Blackfalds United Church on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Ray Goodship officiating. In lieu of flowers or contributions the family suggests you do a random act of kindness for a stranger. A private interment will follow.
