It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Alexander 'Russ' Henderson of Springbrook, Alberta, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Alexander served his country proudly in the Canadian Armed Forces; five years in the Royal Canadian Navy, then C Pro C and finally the Military Police, until he retired. He was a great cook and loved hunting, fishing, camping and The Toronto Maple Leafs.

Alexander will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Linda (nee Bimm); and his beloved son, Chris (Meghan) of Bentley, Alberta. He will also be lovingly remembered by his two sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Alexander was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers and sisters. No service will be held, but a Private Memorial will be held at a later date.

The family is sincerely grateful to all who took care of Alexander in the past and recently.

If desired, Memorial Donations in Alexander's honor may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at www.heart andstroke.ca; or to the Central Alberta Humane Society at cahumane.com.
