With great sadness, the Family of Alice Lorraine (Beckman) Buettner announce her passing on Friday, October 3rd 2014, surrounded by Family, at 94 years in Lacombe, Alberta. Alice was raised in Czar and took her teaching training at the Edmonton Normal School. Over a span of 46 years, her first teaching position was in a one room school and retiring in 1985 after working 25 years as a teacher at Michener Centre in Red Deer. Her Family was very special to her and with her husband, Paul had five children: Ronald, Betty-Ann, Carol, Gene, and Elaine. Left to mourn are Carol's Family Krista Howden, Avery and Sophie, Richard (Bernice), Josh, Ty, Jack and Molly Howden: Gene and Karen's Family, Jared, (Melanie) Korbin and Kohen Buettner; Jocelyn (Blair Thate) and Ryker; Tyson Buettner and Chelsea Buettner: and Elaine and Ralph Salm's Family, Dustin (Marleah) Kyiah and Emma Caldwell, Janna (Isaac) Alexe, Brooke, and Ty Bara; Jessie (Cody Vandergaag) and Kason Salm; Sisters Evelyn (Pitt) Leighton, June Bulmer, Jean (Leroy) Quinton and Brother Bob (Marj) Beckman; Numerous nieces and nephews from the Buettner and Beckman Families; Special friends Ella, Bonnie, and Veronica: as well as her Church Family that she loved very much; Pastor Bob and Lavon Tattrie and present and past congregation at the Nazarene Church in Lacombe.Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church Of The Nazarene on Woodland Drive, Lacombe. In lieu of flowers, the Family has asked that donations be made to Camp Harmattan c/o the Lacombe Church of the Nazarene. Condolences may be made by visiting www.wilsonsfuneralchapel.ca
