Alice CHAPMAN

CHAPMAN Alice Margaret Chapman of Red Deer beloved wife of the late Reginald Chapman passed away peacefully on November 15, 2007 at the age of 81 years. Her memory will be cherished forever by her son Ron (Vicki) Chapman of Red Deer, two granddaughters, Cora (Rob) Hasna of Red Deer and Pamela (Kevin) Vadori of Edmonton, her grandson Darryl Chapman of Red Deer as well as two great-grandsons Nate and Tylan Hasna and her sister Lillian Sayer of Carstairs. Alice was predeceased by her husband Reginald in 1982 and her parents at a young age. She was born March 20, 1926 in Monmashire, South Wales and immigrated to Canada at the tender age of 8 weeks. Alice grew up in rural Carstairs, Alberta where she attended a one room school. After a period in Peterborough, Ontario, she returned home where she met her future husband while caring for his mother. Reg and Alice were married in June of 1951 in Olds, Alberta where they made their home and raised their son Ron. After Reg passed away, Alice moved to Red Deer where she has resided since. Alice will be remembered for her compassion and kind heart. Her door was always open. Alice was one of those genuine people who took a keen interest in others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Alice’s life will take place at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 -67A Street, Red Deer on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded to the family at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. In living memory of Alice Chapman, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home Memorial Tree Park.
