1930 - 2017


It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Alice Leta Christensen on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the age of 87 years. A loving devoted, mother, grandmother, great grand-mother, sister and a special friend to many, she went to be with The Lord. Alice passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly. She will be missed by all that knew her. Alice was born in Fusilier, Saskatchewan on July 24, 1930, where she grew up. Alice will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Debbie (Grant) Sikstrom of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, and Bev Hoolahan of Glendon, Alberta; five grandchildren, Kelly (Coralie) Sikstrom, Kory (Erin) Sikstrom, Klynt Sikstrom, Ashley (Steven) McFadden, and Cassie (Corey) Barlad; seven great grandchildren, Rachel, Sophia, Riley, Naomi, Hailey, Kesler and Kaleb. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Julian (Marlene) Lundgren of Goodridge, Alberta, two sisters, Irene Cameron and Gladys Alexander, both of Edmonton; also Carolyn Lundgren, and Robert Pierce, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her parents, Valfred and Katharina Lundgren, two sisters, Audrey Pierce, Marion Milne; three brothers Edwin, Fritz and Harold. Those wishing may attend the viewing of Mrs. Christensen at the CrossRoads Church, Prayer Room, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County, Alberta on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. until 1:20 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at CrossRoads Church, East Chapel, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County, Alberta on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Alice's son-in-law, The Reverend Grant Sikstrom officiating.
