HERBERT Allan Westley Herbert of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 14, 2006 at the age of 62 years. Al worked for Inland Cement for twenty years and also spent twenty years coaching Youth Bowling in Red Deer and Medicine Hat. He enjoyed camping, fishing and wood working. Al will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gwen, one daughter, Terri (Bob) Bainbridge of Lacombe, three sons; Allan Jr. (Joanne) of Edmonton, Dean (Allison Kapcala) of Medicine Hat and David Kapcala of Calgary, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers; Lester, Merle and Wayne as well as one sister, Vernie. Al was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Nola and one brother, Bill. Al will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Edmonton. A Memorial Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with lunch to follow at Waskasoo Estates on England Way.
