Alma Marie Gouw passed away peacefully at Extendicare Michener Hill surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the age of 77 years. Alma is survived by her son David and his daughters Whitney and Kellie-Rae, daughter Brenda (Tom) Farwell and their daughters Melissa (Trevor) and great grandson Brayden, Jessica (Nolan) and great granddaughters Hailey and Rowan, Christina (Dave) and son Dwayne (Teresa) and children Steve, Brianna and Jarrett and the father of her children Arie Gouw. Also to cherish Alma's memory is her sisters Lucy, Allie, Florence, Edna; brothers Paul, Albert and a large extended family. She was predeceased by her brother Alfred; sisters Anita, Rosina and her parents. Alma's family would like to "Thank" Dr. Robert Mulder for his many years of loving patient care to her and to the staff of Michener Extendicare for the friendship and care they provided to her over the past two years. At Alma's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A private family celebration will be held at a later date. "Go rest high on that mountain Mom" Memorial donations in Alma's honor may be directed to Seniors Mental Health (Red Deer), Alberta Health Services in care of the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation, 3942-50A Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4N 4E7.
