Amanda Kerrie
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Amanda on June 23, 2012 at the tender age of 19 due to a tragic car accident. Amanda was born September 15, 1992 and was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend to many. Amanda was a vibrant, caring young lady with an incredible smile. She had a passion for travelling with a special place in her heart for Fiji. She had recently graduated from the Tourism and Hospitality Program at Red Deer College. At the time of her passing, she was working at the Sheraton and had plans to pursue her career in Britain this winter. Amanda had a love for music, dancing, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by her parents, Darren and Jen Harlos and sister, Emily Harlos of Red Deer; grandparents, Lorne and Anne McDonald of Medicine Hat and Wilf and Cheryl Harlos of Avonlea, Saskatchewan; aunt and uncle, Erin and Michael Harlos and their children, Ava and Macy of Regina, Saskatchewan and uncle, Randy Harlos of Avonlea, Saskatchewan; great-grandmother Gladys Erdelyan, of Regina, Saskatchewan; special friends: Charley of Medicine Hat and Chad, Shawna, Jamie, Riley and Brady Porter of Red Deer. She leaves behind many loyal friends and extended family. She is also survived by her birth father, Perry Clay and his parents Ronald and Ellen. A funeral service will be held at Sheraton Hotel, 3310-50 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm. A public viewing will take place prior to the service from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Amanda's name can be made to Alberta Cancer Foundation, 710 - 10123 99 Street Edmonton, Alberta T5J 3H1 or Alberta Children's Hospital, 2888 Shaganappi Trail Northwest, Calgary, Alberta T3B 6A8.
