Ambrose WOJCIECHOWSKI

September 22, 2006

WOJCIECHOWSKI Ambrose Jaszczuk Wojciechowski of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on September 19, 2006 at the age of 75 years. Ambrose was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on December 14, 1930 and moved to Alberta with his family a few years later. He grew up on the family farm by Lac La Biche and left home at the age of 14. He married Marge Hillman on September 24, 1952 and they settled in Daysland to raise their children. They lived in Daysland for 25 years and moved to Red Deer in 1977 after their children left home. They lived in Red Deer until the time of his passing. Ambrose's favorite hobbies were camping and golfing with his family, going to auctions or “tinkering” in his shop. His greatest joys were the “little people” in his life (and we were ALL little at one time). After a courageous battle with cancer, Ambrose passed away surrounded by his wife and children. He will be missed, but we are relieved that he is finally at peace. Ambrose will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marge Wojciechowski, one son, Jim (Carol) of Red Deer, three daughters; Donna (Howie) Kroetsch of High Level, Valerie Carr (Richard Vanderwerf) of Ponoka and Barbara Terway (Mel Hovelson and his daughter, Jazz-Lynn) of Camrose, eight grandchildren; Tanya Catt (Paul), Kristian Kroetsch, Aaron Carr, Lynette Wolokoff (Dale), Wayne Terway, Sheri-Anne Preza (Jose), Michele Ellerston (Doug) and Amber Barker (Justin), six great grandchildren; Jenna and Courtney Wolokoff, Ryley and Ashten Preza, Kaiden Ellerston and Braydon Wojciechowski-Barker. He is also survived by one brother, Harry Wilson of Wetaskiwin, two sisters; Nina Colson of Kamloops and Anne Stiles of Olds. Ambrose was predeceased by his father, Peter, his mother, Natalia, brothers; Anatol, Joseph, Constantine and Anthony, also twins, Maria at birth and William about six months later. Those wishing to pay their respects to Mr. Ambrose Wojciechowski can do so at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Friday, September 22, 2006 between 4:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at the Red Deer Funeral Home on Friday September 22, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. A very special thank you to the nursing staff on unit 32 and Palliative Care, as well as Drs.
