Andrew OLSON

OLSON Andrew Charles Olson was born of his parents Irene Elizabeth and Ole S. Olson, on October 24, 1943 in Coronation, Alberta. Andy was raised on the farm and attended school in the Coronation area. He met Pat Gillies in 1966 and they were united in marriage November 12 that same year, which also happens to be his parents anniversary. Andy worked in different locations throughout Alberta, NWT and Philippines. His work included construction, oil patch, mechanics, auto body mechanic, farming and in later years "tailgunner" (part of hosting staff for R.V. Caravans). After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Andy passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2005 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. Andy was predeceased by his grandparents, parents and two younger brothers, Bill and Martin. Andy leaves to mourn his passing his wife Pat and their little dog Sassie, Brother Kea (Bernice) of Innisfail, sister Marjorie Howg of Sylvan Lake, brothers Dave (Gloria) of Pt. McNeill, Vancouver Island, BC, and Doug of Victoria, BC. and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends over a vast area. A Memorial Service for the late Andrew Charles Olson will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB with the Reverend E.I. Jones. Interment for the family will follow at a later date in Fairfield Cemetery at Coronation, Alberta.
