Ann

Ann Pearl, beloved wife of Simon Swier went to be with her Lord and Saviour on October 28, 2009 at the age of 84. Together Simon and Ann celebrated 61 years of marriage. They were married in Andyk, Holland on February 26, 1948 and two weeks later immigrated to Canada where they worked for local farmers. They later bought a farm south of Morningside where Ann was Simons treasured companion hired hand. Ann leaves to mourn her devoted and loving husband Simon, of Lacombe, Children, Peter (Leslie) Swier of Lacombe, Lynn (John) Richardson of Lacombe, Cathy Dowling of Morningside, Wally Swier of Ponoka, Roger (Anita) Swier of Lacombe, and grandchildren, Mike (Shawna) Cindy, Jeremiah (Callie), Jessica (Matt), Cameron, Amy (Bobby), Curt (Amy), Bryce (Brandy), Brant (Tammy), Brady, Aaron , Ryan, Kayla, nine great grandsons as well as numerous family and friends. Ann was predeceased by her son in law Blake Dowling, a brother and 2 sisters. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Keller and the staff of Long Term Care at the Lacombe Hospital, where Ann lived for the past 3 years. Donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the Lacombe Christian school, 5206-58 Street, Lacombe Alberta, T4L 1X2. A Celebration of Ann’s life will be held at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 5704-51 Avenue, Lacombe Alberta, on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 2:00pm.
