Anna Luella "Lu" (née Homan)
On March 6, 2014, Lu passed away at the Lacombe Care Centre at the age of 85. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 37 years, Robert Flood. She was the daughter of Seldon and Evelyn Homan of Corbyville, Ontario. Her siblings were the late Muriel Lidster and Harvey Homan. She is survived by her sister Kathleen (Kay) Summers (Burle),Ruth Plumpton (John) and Jean Cooper (John). She will be missed by the many nieces, nephews and cousins in Ontario and Alberta. She was predeceased by her first husband, Colin Campbell. Their daughter Anna Lu Sutherland (late Bruce), grandchildren Angus (Krista), Neal (Michelle), Lachlan (Ashley), Shona (David) and 5 great-grandchildren will miss her very much. She will also be sadly missed by Bob's children Rene Rohrer (Bruce), Steve Flood (Lori), Laura Lee Flood, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Lu and Bob spent many happy winters golfing and enjoying the warmth with friends in Cathedral City, California. Lu graduated from the Belleville Collegiate Institute,Peterborough Normal School and the University of Calgary. She was a dedicated teacher until her retirement. She enjoyed golf, bird watching, her flower beds and her art club. She leaves family and friends in the Red Deer area where she lived for 45 years. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers we ask that a donation be made to the Alzheimer Society.
