SCHROH, Annie Mary
1916 - 2009
Annie Mary Schroh of Red Deer, AB, passed away on October 28th, 2009 at the age of 93 years. Mary was born July 23rd, 1916 in Medicine Hat, AB. She was one of twelve children born to Paul and Teresa Ressler. Mary married Peter Schroh in 1935 in Manning, AB., where they farmed and raised five children. Mary loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was an avid reader and card player and taught many of her grandchildren and great-grand children card games. Mary always had a thirst for knowledge and a love for travel. She was a life-time member and served on the Executive Committee of the CWL in Manning, Alberta. She loved to sing and was a member of the Innisfail Choir. More than anything, Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed and will remain forever in our hearts. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Lloyd (Marge) Schroh and Leo (Donna) Schroh, both of Red Deer, AB; son-in-law, Reinhold Kossman of Calgary, AB; daughters, Beatrice (Joe) Stang of Manning, AB., and Barbara Scarlett of Innisfail, AB.; brother, Adam (Emily) Ressler of Manning, AB. Mary also leaves to cherish her memory 17 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, one Great-Great-Grandchild, and numerous extended relatives and close friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Peter Schroh; daughter, Irene Kossman; son-in-law, Edwin Scarlett; grandchildren, Patricia & Dan Scarlett; seven brothers and three sisters. Prayers and Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 1st, 2009 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 67 Street, Red Deer) and on Monday, November 2nd, 2009 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., prior to the Funeral Service at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for the late Annie Mary Schroh will take place on Monday, November 2nd, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church (6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, AB), with Father Les Drewicki officiating. Interment to follow at Innisfail Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Mary's name may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society (99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4R 3S6) or to the charity of one's choice.
