TIMOTHY JOSEPH SHEEDY APRIL 22, 1919- MARCH 4, 2005 Tim, Dad, Pere, Grampa, Thumper died in his sleep at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 85. Tim was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Mary in 1996. He leaves his family to celebrate his life, Susan (Terry), Adriane and Alex; Kevin (Mabel); Kelley and Allyson, Galen and Scotty; Colin (Michele), Michela and Chiara; brothers, Tony (Verla); Jack (Anna); Ken (Merle); Reg (Yvonne); as well as numerous other relaticks of the O'Sioda clan. He was predeceased by brothers, Danny, Teddy and Frank; and sisters, Leona, Connie, Ronnie, Ellen and Rose. Tim was born in Gretna, Manitoba. He served with the PPCLI in WWII in England and was discharged as a Master Warrant Officer II. He brought home with him an English bride and they initially made their home in Winnipeg before moving to North Battleford and ultimately Red Deer (the Carrot Patch) in 1957. Tim was a newspaper sports reporter, a Linotype operator, proofreader and stamp columnist with his last stint of 27 years spent at the Red Deer Advocate. He was an active member of St. Mary's Parish and served faithfully in the capacity of church custodian, enthusiastic tour guide and devoted time to many church ministries. He was a member of the Father Woodhouse Assembly of the Knights of Columbus in many roles. He was an avid walker and enjoyed touring without any particular destination. His hobbies included stamp collecting, gardening, editing and producing the family Chronicle and enjoying time with his children and grandchildren. Tim was a fighter and a believer in the healing power of hugs. He will be missed by family, friends and neighbours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m., St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6 McMilan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta. Funeral Mass to be held Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., St. Mary's Catholic Church. Reverend Father Joseph Dephoff celebrating.
