Mr. Arlen 'Art' Dale McLean of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at home, following a brief illness, on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the age of 63 years.
Art marched to his own drum since his teenage years and chose to live a simple life on his own terms.
He was a kind and generous man to most, and displayed a great sense of humor, even in difficult times.
He was an avid sports fan, NHL - Habs; NFL - Patriots; MLB - Pirates and CFL - BC Lions. His musical tastes varied from Texas Swing, Bluegrass to AC/DC. He was well read, he liked to do Cryptograms and loved quotes: one of his favorites was "No Tears, No Flowers, No Regrets".
Art will be lovingly remembered and survived by his mother, Doreen van Lune; his sister, Keltie (Stan) Masters; his brothers, Ray McLean and Don McLean; his daughter, Jessica Flindall-Wheeler; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and dear friends.
Art was predeceased by his father, Bud McLean in 1988.
A Celebration of Art's Life will be announced at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
