Arlene is survived and deeply missed by her husband, Rob, of 65 years and her 2 daughters; Sheryl and Sandy. She is also survived by her sister, Louanne (Alyn) Olive, her brother, Ken (Linda) Bradey and numerous nieces and nephews. Arlene was predeceased by her parents, Ruby (2011) and Charlie (1995) Bradey.
Arlene was born in Gadsby, AB on February 27, 1934. Arlene graduated from Business College in Stettler, AB in 1951. Arlene and her friend, Jean Kay, then came to Red Deer on a train with one small suitcase each. Arlene started her first employment as a secretary for Nance Company LTD and the later Gulf Oil.
Arlene's first date with the love of her life, Rob, was on March 11, 1949 and they married on June 19, 1954. Arlene and Rob purchased their first home in West Park in 1957 there they raised their two daughters. Arlene also worked as secretary at both West Park Elementary and West Park Junior High schools from 1964 to 1984. Rob and Arlene enjoyed dancing and travelling to many places, with her favorite being Hawaii.
A heartfelt thanks to numerous care givers, nurses and doctors, all of whom helped her on her life journey. Special thanks to Dr. Nav Rattan and Dr. Dua.
Arlene had a private family celebration at Eventide Funeral Home on November 19, 2019. Arlene was then laid to rest at the Red Deer Cemetery.
