Mrs. Arletta Schatschneider Red Deer, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Arletta was born on May 5, 1935 at Edmonton, Alberta, and raised in Mayerthorpe, Alberta as an only child.
In early 1954, she met Herb Schatschneider and six months later they were married on August 6. Arletta and Herb moved eighteen times in their first twelve years of marriage before making their forever home in Red Deer, Alberta, in 1966. She worked in the Dietary department at the Red Deer Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Arletta loved camping and spending time outdoors with family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed ceramics and liquid embroidery.
Arletta will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Gerry (Kelly) Coulter, Randy (Raelene), Darcy (Carolyn), and Cordel (Jodi); her 12 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
She will also be remembered by her brother-in-law Alfred Schatschneider and sister-in-law Leona Rix, as well as multiple extended families.
Arletta was predeceased by her husband Herb Schatschneider, parents Carl and Anna Anderson, daughter-in-law Brenda Schatschneider, and grandson Chad Coulter and many others on Herb's side.
Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Boulevard, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Boulevard, Red Deer, Alberta, on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta. A funeral lunch will be available after the interment at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.
