Arnold BARNHILL

BARNHILL, Arnold Mr. Arnold Beaton Barnhill, beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Barnhill of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at the age of 87 years. Arnold was born on May 6, 1917 at Lacombe, Alberta. He lived in the Satinwood District of Alberta for over sixty-five years. It was there that Arnold attended school and later farmed for many years. He also attended the Olds Agricultural College. Arnold was a strong and independent man who was very committed to his family. He was also involved with the Haynes Church and later on the Sunnybrook United Church of Red Deer, as well as being involved in various local community organizations. Arnold will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by his family and dear friends. Arnold leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, Mary Barnhill and his daughter, Betty Barnhill, both of Red Deer and son, Jim (Nancy) Barnhill of Joffre, Alberta and his granddaughter, April Barnhill, also of Joffre. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Henry C. and Mary E. Barnhill and his step-mother, Ellen J. Barnhill. A Funeral Service will be held at Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with The Reverend Paul Mullen officiating. A Private Interment will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Lacombe, Alberta.
