TRANGEN

Ashley-Anne

Ashley-Anne Elizabeth Trangen was born on January 30, 1985 in Calgary, Alberta to her mom Lori - a baby sister for her big brother Stephen. Ashley grew up all across Canada. She met Steve Downey in 2005 in Red Deer, Alberta. Steve was her boss at Lampco Meat Processing Plant at the time. They had a set of twins: Ethan and Erica born May 26, 2006. In December 2008, Ashley and Steve and their twins moved to Grand Banks Newfoundland to be closer to Steve's family. On July 19, 2009 Ashley and the twins moved to Kincaid, Saskatchewan where she started working immediately as a waitress and cook at the Trinity Night Club. Ashley quickly integrated into Kincaid. She enrolled her kids in the local playschool where she also helped out volunteering. The kids at playschool just loved "Miss Ashley." She had recently commented to her mother Lori how happy she was living in Kincaid and what a great place she thought it was to raise her kids. She was looking forward to moving into a new house in December. But it was not to be. Ashley was killed in a fatal car accident on the morning of Friday, November 13, 2009. Friends of hers in Kincaid have described Ashley as the "brightest light in Kincaid", "a great worker and thinker", and a "wonderful, sweet girl." Ashley was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, an aunt and her maternal grandfather Eric Trangen. She leaves to mourn her two children, Ethan and Erica, her mother Lori, her Grandma Betty, her brothers Stephen and Joel, Steve her special friend and father to her children, her half-brothers Dustin and Douglas Netrafa, her half-sister Linda Crossman, Uncle Cam, Auntie Shelly, Auntie Mona, Grandpa Harry, numerous cousins and friends and her dog Baby Ben.
