ROWBOTHAM

1927 - 2009

Mr. Aubrey Andrew Rowbotham beloved father and grandfather passed away on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Aubrey was born August 23, 1927 at Red Deer, Alberta to Walter and Ellen Rowbotham. Aubrey went to school at Grassy Lake. In 1949 Aubrey married Margaret Sophie Bodnarchuk, together they farmed in the Edwell District, from there they moved to the Delburne Area, and then later to Campbell River, British Columbia. Aubrey returned to Red Deer where he lived, until he lost his battle with cancer at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. Aubrey leaves to cherish his memory his five sons, Ron Rowbotham of Red Deer, Alberta, Dwayne (Audrey) Rowbotham of Stettler, Alberta, Dave (Irene) Rowbotham of Red Deer, Alberta, Lloyd (Barbara) Rowbotham of Campbell River, British Columbia, and Rick (Tracy) Rowbotham of Spruce View, Alberta, as well as a daughter, Margaret Johnston (Pete Gellerman) of Campbell River, British Columbia. Aubrey is survived by his three brothers, Ken Rowbotham and Vern Rowbotham both of Innisfail, Alberta, and Austin(Shirley) Rowbotham of Benalto, Alberta, along with twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Aubrey was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Ellen, his second daughter, Linda, and his wife Margaret. A service for the late Mr. Aubrey Rowbotham will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Aubrey will be interred beside his wife Margaret following the service at Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
