1930 - 2012

Axel Henry Hogberg of Red Deer passed away while doing what he loved, ice fishing at Gull Lake, on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 81 years. Henry, as he was known, was born November 5, 1930 in Eckville and grew up on the family farm near Leslieville. He married Lois Adrian on November 22, 1952. Together, they moved to Red Deer in 1959. Henry is survived by his five children, Anita Duncan, Judy (Nick) Kaikkonen, Andy (Yvonne) Hogberg, Bruce (Laurie) Hogberg, and Kevin (Donna) Hogberg. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A celebration of his life will be held from the chapel of Parkland Funeral Home, 6287- 67A Street Red Deer on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #202 5913 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4N.
