BALDRY Mr. Lee James Baldry of Eckville, AB formerly of Caroline, passed away at his home Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Lee was born in 1925 in Grand Forks, B.C. He moved to Rock Glen, SK in 1926 and then to Sylvan Lake in 1941. He worked in several areas of Central Alberta until Lee and wife Beth moved to Crammond to farm there in 1952. He also worked for Murray Bros. Lumber for many years while still farming. In 1972, Lee and Beth bought a farm in the Shilo District and lived there until they retired to Eckville in 1993. Lee is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Beth) of 61 years; sons Grant of Red Deer and Bruce (Lori) of Ponoka; five daughters, Peggy (Delbert) of Caroline, Janet (Les) of Red Deer, Susan (Kerry) of Killam, Candis (Rusty) of Eckville, and Greta (Warren) of Bashaw; special nephew Dwaine Olson of Ponoka; 28 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lee is also survived by his sister Rachel Ottley of Penhold; sisters-in-law Phylis Knieper and Arlie Olson; and brother-in-law Glenn Knieper. He was predeceased by a sister in infancy; great granddaughter Nicole Ball; grandson Mike Ball; sister Grace Kvale; three brothers-in-law Tommy Kvale, Albert Ottley and Steve Olson; and two nephews Ronnie Knieper and Lionel Dease. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Metcalf Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 9, 2006 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Innisfail Church Of The Nazarene, 4904-48th Street on Friday, March 10, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Boyce officiating. Interment to follow at the Raven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of one's choice.
