Barbara Wise

In loving memory of Barb Wise who passed on Wednesday August 7, 2019 at the age of 75 in Red Deer, Alberta. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Merrilynn Solberg "Joy Lynn" (Duane); her grandchildren; Kaley (Rieki), Brooke Arsenian (James), and Brogen (Paige); her great grandchildren; Eryk, Jakk, Rylee and Linken. Barb will also be remembered by her sister-in-law Carrie Wise and family, as well as her dear friend Shelley Davies (Tim), extended family, friends and former co-workers. She was predeceased by her parents George and Elinor Wise, brother Robert and nephew Will.
Barb was born in Calgary, Alberta and raised on the family farm at Stauffer, Alberta. From there she moved to Red Deer and received her diploma from the International Data Processing Institute in 1963. Barb worked at what is now known as Michener Services, graduated from the RDC in 1984 and worked as an RN for over 30 years before retiring. Throughout those years she travelled for work and pleasure, creating many happy memories.
Along the way Barb gathered lifelong friends who shared her interests including socialising and country music. Since retiring she was able to spend even more time being around those she loved, working in her beautiful yard and keeping in touch with Facebook.
A gathering to celebrate Barb will be held on Saturday, September 14, beginning at 1 at the Black Knight Inn - Mainstage, 2929 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta.
