It is with great sadness the family of Barry Lynn Moxness announces his sudden passing on February 26, 2018 at the age of 67.

Barry was born April 25, 1950 in Innisfail, Alberta to Edward and Anna Moxness. He was raised in Markerville along with his four sisters. Barry's love of nature and the outdoors was a close second to his love of family and grandchildren. In his younger years, Barry was an avid hunter spending many a summer/fall guiding in the Yukon Territory and the Alberta Rocky Mountains. He worked for many years in the construction industry in and around Central Alberta with Alco Drywall and Cook Contracting from Red Deer. He retired in 2016 and enjoyed time with Mary attending the grandkids activities, his love for Country and Western music, rodeos, camping, watching curling, the Blue Jays and spending time with family and friends.

Barry is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 46 years, son Michael (Kimberly) Moxness, daughter Lisa (Jody) Healing, grandchildren Jace, Katie, Aly, Ty, and Cole all of Withrow. Barry's sisters - Starr (Terry) Grover of Penhold, Edna (Floyd) Wacker, and Betty (Darryle) Holt, brother in law Gerald Baily of the Innisfail area and numerous nieces and nephews. Barry was predeceased by his sister Gail (Bailey), parents Edward and Anna and infant brother Bruce.

A celebration of Barry's life will be held Saturday March 3rd, 2018 at the Gilby Hall at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
