WILSON Beatrice 1941 - 2009 Beatrice (nee Beattie) Wilson passed away on March 20, 2009 at Castle Douglas hospital in Scotland. Beatrice was born in Dalbeattie, Scottland on February 4, 1941. When Beatrice was five years of age, her mother Iris Chick journeyed to Canada as a war bride. Beatrice remained in Dalbeattie, Scotland with her Granny until joining her family at Gadsby, Alta. Beatrice completed her schooling here, even becoming Gadsby Winter Carnival Queen. Beatrice loved the farm and especially her younger siblings, also special friendships developed with her mates. Beatrice moved to Calgary to work, returning to the farm on weekends and special occasions. In 1961, Beatrice returned to Scotland to visit her Granny. Beatrice met and married the love of her life, Rae Wilson. To this union, two sons were born, Rae Jr. and David. Beatrice was predeceased by husband, Rae in 1987, Son David in January 2009, parents Iris Chick in 1994 and Alberta Chick in 1997. Beatrice leaves to mourn, one son Rae (Liz), grandchildren Sarah, Catrina, Lisa & Glenn Wilson (Rae) and Sophie, Lucy & Stephen Wilson (David) as well as five great grandchildren. Sisters, Phyllis Chick of Red Deer, Shirley Nixon (Althabasca), Rosalind LaRose (Stettler) and brother, George Chick (Red Deer). Special friends Joyce Hansel, Carol Kirkwood & Marie Vance and many others. Funeral Services were held in Dalbeattie, Scotland on Thursday, March 26, 2009.
