BELANGER 1936- 2007 Mrs. Rose Anne Belanger, beloved wife of Mr. Leo Belanger of Ponoka formerly of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully with her loving extended family at her side, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at the age of 70 years. Rose was born on May 31, 1936 at Leslie Pontiac, Quebec. Rose moved to Central Alberta in 1962 with her husband Leo. Rose was a well liked and respected individual. She was a PCA at Valley Park Manor, as well as numerous other facilities, taking care of her elderly patients. Rose had a passion for painting which led her to own and operate two successful painting companies. Rose was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, always supporting and encouraging her family. Rose had a great sense of humor and you could often find her laughing with her friends and family. She is survived by her husband Leo, sons John Coules of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Christopher (Tracine) Belanger of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Wayne (Jena) Belanger of Calgary, Alberta and a daughter, Dee-Anne Cartier of Renfrew, Ontario, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two sisters Bernie (Ken) Kingsbury of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and Mary (Bernard) Doherty of Shawville, Quebec, as well as two brothers Andy (Maxine) Cartier of Lethbridge, Alberta and Ernest (Lynda) of Renfrew, Ontario, sister-in law Helen Cartier and long time friend Betty Clayton both of Red Deer. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Zelphia, a brother Joseph Cartier and three sisters Dorine, Geraldine and Ernestine. A Memorial Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45 Street, Red Deer, on Tuesday May 15, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of unit 32 of the Red Deer regional Hospital for their extra special care, especially Terry Mousseau.
