Bernard ROTH

ROTH Bernard Joseph Roth of Red Deer, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Bernard was born on December 16, 1914 in Handel, Saskatchewan. Bernard was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He spent his life farming in Handel, until 1975 when he retired to Red Deer. A true man of the land, Bernard also loved gardening and caring for his flowers. Everything he did was done with great care and devotion. Bernard leaves to mourn his loss, his children, Marie (Gerry) Germsheid of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Sharon (Larry) Volk of Red Deer, Linda (Jim) Proctor of Leduc, Alberta, Bernadette (Valentine) Heintz of Handel, Saskatchewan, Rosemary (Brian) Scherman of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Elaine (Dale) Halter, also of Red Deer, Debbie (Kevin) Engel of Edmonton, Alberta, Kathie (Greg) Eberhart of St. Albert, Alberta and Bernard (Dolores) Roth of Calgary, Alberta, twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren, as well as numerous relatives and dear friends. Bernard was predeceased by his beloved wife, Clare and a baby daughter, Susan. Prayers will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Service will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Handel, Saskatchewan on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Bernard’s honour may be made directly to the Palliative Care Unit, P.O.
